On January 9, 2024, Saskatchewan RCMP's Loon Lake Detachment, Police Dog Services and Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team attended a residence on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation to arrest a wanted male.

The officers approached the residence and the male fled on a quad. They used a remotely piloted aircraft and located him at a second residence. Officers approached him, told him he was under arrest, but he fled again on a quad.

As a result of continued investigation, Loon Lake RCMP have charged 31-year-old Christian Mitsuing with:

  • one count, flight from peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code;
  • one count, resist peace officer, Section 129(a), Criminal Code;
  • one count, operation of a conveyance while prohibited, Section 320.18, Criminal Code;
  • one count, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code.

A warrant was issued for his arrest. Christian Mitsuing is also wanted on warrants for charges including possession of stolen property, resisting arrest and flight from a peace officer in relation to incidents in the Loon Lake detachment area in 2023.

Loon Lake RCMP are actively working to locate and arrest Christian Mitsuing and ask members of the public to report all sightings of him or information on his whereabouts.

Christian Mitsuing is described as approximately 5'10" and 180 lb. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He has numerous face tattoos, including two stars above one eyebrow.

If you see him or know where he is, contact Loon Lake RCMP at 306-837-2440. Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.saskcrimestoppers.com.
